The ClipDifferent Pro is a revolutionary, first-of-its-kind, automatic fingernail clipper that safely trims fingernails with the simple touch of a button.

The Pro is a patent-pending fingernail clipper that transforms the repetitive, sometimes challenging, always messy task of trimming your fingernails. The safe fingernail slot prevents skin from coming into contact with the trimming mechanism (even those with full vision loss can use it safely). In addition, it catches the nail clippings in a drawer, eliminating clippings flying off in random directions. It’s also compact (3″ x 5″), contains a rechargeable battery that can last months between charges, and features a surgical grade stainless steel trimming mechanism.

This safety nail trimmer from ClipDifferent is easy to use and does a very good job. My only hesitation to using it was an initial innate reluctance to stick my finger into a dark hole in a machine that's making cutting sounds.

But, I didn't need to worry at all. You can't get your finger stuck or your skin anywhere near the blades. They're far enough inside that you also don't need to worry about cutting your nails too short since you can't get your finger that far in.

The slot for the blade is wider than the actual cutting area, which is on the far right side of the opening and it doesn't move so you need to turn your fingers a bit to get an even cut. It took a few fingers to get the feel for it but by the time I was done both hands, I was able to get a pretty respectable cut. I still need an emery board to smooth off the tiny ends and shape a bit, but the trimming part was a breeze.

The scissor action cutting process itself is smooth and even resulting in a cut that is much gentler than using snap type clippers and it's small and lightweight enough to pick up up and move it around if you need to, which I did at first before I got the motion of moving my fingers down.

It's very light weight so you might need to put something on top of it to hold it down if you're single handed or otherwise need to hold it in place.

I like it and I'm sure the next time, my nails will look even better.
